The country is in the tropics, but there are some highlands that experience snow and colder weather. So, depending on where you travel in the 23 states in Venezuela, you're going to want to pack appropriate clothing. If you decide to spend all your time on the beach, you probably won't need a jacket, but if you plan to go into the highlands, you might want to at least bring some heavy clothes for the journey.

Some of the land in Venezuela is still in dispute with neighboring countries, but this isn't a bother for the many people who travel to the country every year.
